Ways to Resolve a Dispute

Not every dispute can be settled by agreement. An HMAA arbitrator hears the matter and issues a binding decision, under rules agreed before the process begins.

Some disputes are better settled by the parties themselves. An HMAA mediator assists them in reaching an agreement, and the settlement remains theirs to determine.
