John Hark, currently President of HMAA, has been in the maritime industry for more than 25 years. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1989 with a BS in Maritime Administration. He started with Bertling Logistics in 2002 as Americas Director for U.S. vessel operations, and is now responsible for the group’s North America and South America operations. In addition to his position with Bertling, John has also been an Adjunct Professor with Texas A&M University since 2002, teaching a vessel chartering course. His areas of expertise are vessel chartering, air charters, freight forwarding and logistics operations and contracts, capital project logistics and contracts, and truck & rail transportation.
