I retired as a Captain from the U.S. Coast Guard in June of 2017 after 27 years of service. I was a Judge Advocate for 17 years and also served in operations ashore and intelligence positions. My last assignment was Deputy Commander, Sector Corpus Christi. I am a Proctor Member of the Maritime Law Association of the U.S., and am admitted in Texas, the Court of Appeals of the Armed Forces, and U.S. Supreme Court. I am currently the Director of Program Management for the Greater Houston Port Bureau, a maritime industry trade organization dedicated to promoting maritime industry and transportation. My principle focus is improving the efficiency of ship movements, particularly chemical tankers, in the Port of Houston and along the Houston Ship Channel.
